RehaMove is an FES Cycling system combining a motion trainer and a RehaStim, computerised muscle stimulator. This system is used successfully in thousands of homes, hospitals and clinics around the world
A RehaBike is a outdoor trike offering FES powered cycling using a RehaStim unit. This high quality product is available with or without motor-assistance to ensure that cycling continues even when muscles fatigue.
The heart of any FES Cycling system is the stimulator. RehaStim is the power behind RehaMove and RehaBike - and can be used with powerful Sequence Mode software for research and other activities such as FES Rowing.
The RehaMove system is the most flexible and powerful FES Cycling System on the market. There are many accessories and options that are not shown here. The System A, Active Leg Exercise System is our most popular system. You can start with this and at options at anytime to build greater functionality. We will never recommend options or features that won't benefit you. Contact Us for a personal quote.
We have had a number of clients with higher level spinal cord injury
looking for an ability to exercise the arms and shoulders. A new version of RehaMove is now available with software and hardware to actively exercise the arms - and the legs - in one compact system.
The principle for arm training is just the same as that used in the established leg training model...Custom software in the stimulator unit sends pulses to make the muscles
of the arm contract.
These pulses are synchronised with the position of the arm crank. The system regulates the pulses to provide active exercise supported automatically by a built-in motor. As the muscles become more efficient and effective the motor's power is reduced ensuring that the user is always exercising safely and effectively.
Custom hand/arm cuffs can be supplied to suit various levels of hand and arm function.
When the user has finished the arm training session, the arm crank can be rotated out of the way. The result is a remarkably compact system that one session may be used for leg training and the next session for leg training. You decide.
The stimulator programmes can easily be varied to match the changing performance of the the user and are suitable for people with complete or incomplete sensor lesions.
