RehaMove is an FES Cycling system combining a motion trainer and a RehaStim, computerised muscle stimulator. This system is used successfully in thousands of homes, hospitals and clinics around the world
A RehaBike is a outdoor trike offering FES powered cycling using a RehaStim unit. This high quality product is available with or without motor-assistance to ensure that cycling continues even when muscles fatigue.
The heart of any FES Cycling system is the stimulator. RehaStim is the power behind RehaMove and RehaBike - and can be used with powerful Sequence Mode software for research and other activities such as FES Rowing.
The RehaMove system is the most flexible and powerful FES Cycling System on the market. There are many accessories and options that are not shown here. The System A, Active Leg Exercise System is our most popular system. You can start with this and at options at anytime to build greater functionality. We will never recommend options or features that won't benefit you. Contact Us for a personal quote.
The stimulator provides a number of application programs for practical use. In Science Mode, the user can flexibly control stimulation with a PC via a USB interface - a highlight for clinical research! This product is a highly flexible choice for those clinicians who wish to use Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) in therapy, rehabilitation or as part of the RehaBike and RehaMove systems.
The stimulation channels of the RehaStim - up to 8 channels - are situated in two modules with 4 channels each, electrically isolated from other application components.
On each module a microcomputer manages
time-critical tasks and ensures that the legal norms for electrical
stimulation are met. Thus extremely fast and very short impulse sequences can be generated.
Further microprocessors are responsible for complex operations and special application tasks.
To control the stimulation the programs can access external analogue and digital input signals. The stimulator can be adapted to various fields of application by exchanging the software.
To operate the stimulator a touch screen with a graphical display similar to a PC is used. For specific applications a customised interface is possible. By touching the display and following the intuitive user guidance, adjusting the stimulator becomes mere childs play.
You save valuable time!
Of particular importance are special RehaStim inputs and outputs, where further devices can be plugged in. Thus you can put complex systems for Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) into practice. In this way the RehaStim becomes a basic device for systems such as the RehaBike or RehaMove.
Through a USB connection the stimulator can be controlled by a standard PC computer. The Science Mode offers completely new possibilities for clinical research applications.
RehaStim can implement a wide range of tasks when applying electrical stimulation sequences in diagnostics and therapy. The main emphasis is on the field of Functional Electrical Stimulation, as implemented in RehaBike and RehaMove. Combined with further devices, RehaStim can be used to control additional movement sequences for paralysed limbs such as standing up, straightening up, gripping etc.
Of course, RehaStim can also be applied to improve muscle function (activation and building up of muscles, boosting the blood circulation), to reduce spasticity, to treat pain and incontinence, and for many other purposes.RehaBike - Tricycling for paraplegic people by means of Functional Electrical Stimulation: The RehaBike enables people affected by paralysis to ride a tricycle using the muscular power of their own legs.
