RehaStim - New Software Extends Function

The RehaStim FES stimulator is the heart of our FES bike but did you know it can also be much more than that.  When the RehaStim "bolts on" to a Reck MOTOmed it creates the RehaMove FES Cycling machine, used in the homes of many private clients.  This is a great value proposition - but its also a very flexible and powerful choice for therapists and individuals alike.  For example,

By using this modular technology a user can

• start with a leg exercise machine and upgrade software and hardware to add active arm training at any time.
• upgrade to the RehaBike for outdoor mobility by uploading new software into your existing RehaStim.  Then you can have an indoor bike for the winter and an outdoor one for the summer sharing the same stimulator.
  
• customise stimulation programmes with our expert guidance so you can go far beyond anything possible with "pre-canned software".  There is no need to pay for someone to do this for you - unless you really like the dependency and the extra cost.

But if you're a therapist, RehaStim just became a much more valuable tool.

You like the idea of FES Cycling which has proven benefits for spinal cord injury and for stroke rehabilitation. 

But don't you wish you could use that stimulator free of the bike.

Well now you can, because RehaStim can now be supplied with an ability to work with an ergometer or as a free standing device.

With our Sequence Mode software we permit  the  training  of  sequential  courses  of  muscle contractions, e.g. for muscle training in bed or in walking situations.

No further device - like e.g. motion trainer or tricycle - is necessary, the stimulator is used as a powerful stand-alone device. The stimulation takes place periodically, i.e. the chosen cycle is repeated as often as the user wishes. Course and duration of each sequence can be adjusted. Each channel can be activated once per cycle.

This becomes a very economic choice with both flexibility and power in a wide range of situations.
