RehaMove is an FES Cycling system combining a motion trainer and a RehaStim, computerised muscle stimulator. This system is used successfully in thousands of homes, hospitals and clinics around the world
A RehaBike is a outdoor trike offering FES powered cycling using a RehaStim unit. This high quality product is available with or without motor-assistance to ensure that cycling continues even when muscles fatigue.
The heart of any FES Cycling system is the stimulator. RehaStim is the power behind RehaMove and RehaBike - and can be used with powerful Sequence Mode software for research and other activities such as FES Rowing.
The RehaMove system is the most flexible and powerful FES Cycling System on the market. There are many accessories and options that are not shown here. The System A, Active Leg Exercise System is our most popular system. You can start with this and at options at anytime to build greater functionality. We will never recommend options or features that won't benefit you. Contact Us for a personal quote.
Mr X of Durham is a 24-year-old male who writes 3 years after his accident, which left him with a complete spinal cord lesion. He has been using a RehaMove for Arms and Legs with the Smart Card data logging option. He initially started to use a RehaMove for legs and then upgraded to a combined system with Smart Card when this became available. He has 18 months experience with the system.
Mr X was very keen on exercise before his accident, playing rugby twice per week and working out in the gym for 4 to five sessions per week. By adopting a RehaMove, Mr X's motives were - "To keep fit, increase muscle bulk without increasing fat and keeping strong in case of a cure"
As quite a busy individual, Mr X, like everyone else, has to find a way
to fit training into his routine. In a typical week he works his legs
for three, 40-minute sessions and his arms twice for 30mins. When free from the pressures of work Mr X works his legs five days per
week for 40min and his arms three to four times a week for 30 minutes a
session.
Mr X says "By doing your legs first thing before you shower you can
incorporate a workout into you morning routine so it seems less of a
chore"
Interestingly, when we asked our clients to tell us how they exercise
75% of them reported that they have used the system more than they
expected before purchase. We asked - "How did you find getting used to the system?"
Mr X replies "Difficult at first, it took about 3 weeks to "crack it" but I think the new instructions are much improved."
We asked "What have you noticed since using the system?"
He replies, "Definitely increased muscle bulk! It's hard for me to gauge cardiovascular fitness but I feel like I'm fitter"
Finally, Have you been satisfied with your investment so far?
"I definitely feel I've got my money's worth out of it"
