About
Derek Jones, PhD, MBA
Director and founder, Anatomical Concepts (UK) Ltd. Rehabilitation engineer in continuous practice since 1977.

Derek originally trained as a control engineer before completing his PhD in bioengineering. His career in rehabilitation engineering commenced in Canada, before he returned to Scotland, initially as an academic.
He was always interested in taking ideas from research into practice, and an MBA helped him to make the transition into business. He has experience as a non-executive director and technical advisor on multiple research programmes.
Derek's interest in electrical stimulation and neuromodulation goes back to the mid-1970s, and he feels enthusiastic about its possibilities. Anatomical Concepts remains an important vehicle for expressing his ideas and contributing to society.
